High View is an unincorporated community in Hampshire County, West Virginia, United States. It is located along State Route 259, about 9 miles east of Capon Bridge. The community takes its name from the elevated views of the surrounding mountains. High View has a rural and agricultural character, with farms, fields, and forested hillsides.
High View does not have a post office, but residents use the Capon Bridge post office. The community is served by the Capon Valley Volunteer Fire Department and the Capon Valley Ambulance Company. The local school district is Hampshire County Schools, which operates Capon Bridge Elementary School and Capon Bridge Middle School.
Outdoor recreation is popular in High View and the surrounding area. The George Washington National Forest is nearby, offering opportunities for hiking, camping, and hunting. The Cacapon River and its tributaries are popular for fishing, kayaking, and tubing.
